Squish Match

A relaxed match-three puzzle on a tray of clay blobs. Swap two neighbours to line up three of a colour and they squish flat and disappear; the blobs above drop into the gap. You have thirty moves. Make them count.

What it is

The board is a tray of coloured clay blobs, seven rows deep. Lines of three or more clear, and longer lines clear more blobs at once. Now and then a blob comes out of the Kiln glazed and crazed: it cannot be matched until the heat has drained out of it, which takes three moves, so plan around it. There is no clock. Thirty moves is the whole budget, and the game is about choosing them well.

How to play

Look for swaps that clear two lines at once, and for matches near the bottom of the board, because the blobs falling into the gap often make a second match on their own. When a glazed blob finally softens, it matches like any other.
